Overview

Kraken is one of the longest-running regulated US crypto exchanges. Sferica integrates Kraken through Tickerly with three separate connectors — Kraken Spot, Kraken Futures (perpetual contracts), and Kraken Margin — so you can run rules-based strategies on Bitcoin, Ethereum, and major altcoins across spot or leveraged positions without writing scripts.

Setup in 3 Steps

1. Generate Kraken API credentials

   In Kraken Settings → API, create a new API key with the "Query Funds", "Query Open Orders & Trades", and "Create & Modify Orders" permissions. Keep "Withdraw Funds" off. Kraken returns two values: the API Key and a Private Key (Kraken's name for the secret). Copy both immediately — the private key is only shown once.

2. Create the Kraken connector in Sferica

   In your Sferica dashboard, open TradingView Connector Configurations and create a new connector with the matching Kraken variant selected — Kraken Spot, Kraken Futures, or Kraken Margin. Paste the API key and private key. Sferica returns a unique pointer string that links your TradingView alerts to this Kraken account.

3. Create the TradingView alert

   Open a Sferica strategy detail page, click through to the chart on TradingView, and create an alert. Use the alert message structure documented in "Setting Up TradingView Alerts" and include the pointer from step 2 — that's what routes the alert through Sferica to your Kraken account. Once saved, every alert executes automatically.
